Buying my Images So far most of my sales have been local. I have sold images to church admirers and to people who like flowers. I have sold images of local beauty spots etc to Cottage owners that I have stayed with. Mainly I have sold greetings cards that have no message inside and can be used as notelets too. I don't sell to get rich, I sell because the income offsets the costs of ink paper and other expensive consumables and it gives me pleasure when someone likes my work well enough to pay a fee for it. Greetings Cards
The two most popular formats are greetings cards and prints ready to mount in off the shelf frames. The 4x6 inch ( Approx) blank greetings cards are hand made using stiff card backing so that the card can be put on display and support its own weight. The photographs are all copies of originals taken by me and printed on good quality paper using archival Epson pigment inks that should not fade in 70 years or so ( the same cannot be said of the author). The images are fixed onto the card using non acid 3M's spray mount. The card is supplied in a cellophane protector and a suitable envelope for posting.
Ready to Frame Mounted images
Framing is expensive but 'off the shelf' ready made frames are readily available today in stores such as The Range, Wilkinsons etc. A really acceptable frame can be purchased for just £4 and a splendid one for £6 plus. So I have on offer 'ready to frame' images printed and mounted on stiff card ready to open the purchased frame and to pop the image straight in. These prints are again produced using high quality professional printing papers and Epson Archival inks (70 no fade years approx). They are handmade and protected by cellophane sleeves. At present the only size on general offer is to fit the popular 12 x 10 inch frame. The image on the card is actually 10 x 6.67 inches so it sits nicely in the frame with no danger of masking etc. The cost of a 12x10 inch ready to mount print is just £7.99 including postage.
